Today was the start of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). And I actually started writing my novel. I have a bit of head start (not in the writing department, because that would be against the rules) because I've been mulling this story idea over in my head for some time now. I even mapped out some of the characters (very rough mapping, I might add, mostly names and relationships) and figure out a tenuous plot line. Tenuous, because the main climax of the plot line is missing. Basically my main characters go on a mission/adventure to find the main characters missing sister, but I have no clue what is going to happen between point A (sister is missing) to point B (sister is found). But I guess that's part of the fun of this whole thing. Letting the characters just tell their story instead of forcing the story with too much plot mapping.
Well, the first writing session went surprisingly well. Then again, it's easy to have your characters be born and start to grow up to a point where they can actually direct the story instead of just being a part of it. So that's where I am right now. At four years of age. Word Count follows...
